Prevention is better than cure is one of the oldest sayings in the world. It is also true. If you can avoid it, you will not need to wait for a cure. In the United States mortality rates are as high as 678,000 because of poor nutrition. In Africa, lifestyle related illnesses are slowly turning into a pandemic next to malaria and HIV/AIDS. Diseases and conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and heart related problems, are just a few of the problems brought by unhealthy life choices and the lack of proper nutrition.
Perhaps its time to start making healthy choices. Avoid medical bills and incapacitating conditions because of what we eat. Gaining knowledge on nutrition is important to understand the type of foods, exercises and lifestyle patterns that are beneficial in promoting health.
